Praying For Strength

It's been the toughest year I've gone through, by far. I sure didn't think that was possible after the past few years I've barely managed to get through. I suppose God is very much still around me, but sometimes it doesn't feel that way. I pray each and every night for strength and courage.

I know God hears me. I know he sends angels to watch over my family and I each and every day and night. He hasn't ever let me down, as far as safety is concerned. My family has always had food, clothing and shelter. To most, that is a blessing in itself. But is it so wrong to want more? I don't want all the money in the world... I don't expect Prince Charming... but it would be nice to have a little more phsycial family to lean upon. So here I go, praying for just that. Praying for a great big family to walk into my life...

Catfish - Official Trailer [HD]

Catfish, a 2010 movie that came out late in September, from filmmakers Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost, who decide to document a story involving Ariel's brother, Nev, who is a 24-year-old New York-based photographer. The story also involves Abby, an 8-year-old girl from Michigan who contacts Nev through Facebook, asking for permission to paint a painting from one of his photographs.

How many of us chat on social networks, such as Facebook and Myspace, meeting new people each and everyday? Most of the people we manage to connect with are normally long lost friends from middle school, high school, college or just buddies from the good ol' days... but this movie goes a little more in depth of what can happen (and does happen quite often) when people can take the identity of anyone they want to. You see what you want to see, you see the pictures they post and allow you to see... but what if these people weren't really who they said they were?

I'm sure it's very, very common... and that's a bit creepy if you ask me! Just be careful what information you are putting out there for the world to see, some people get bored and there are stalkers out there that do pry on the vulnerable and innocent.

May God protect you all and keep you and your families safe...

A lovely air show.

There I am! I FINALLY got to the air show. :-) And the Thunderbirds did an awesome job!!! The day was just gorgeous with lovely weather, as well. What a perfect day for an air show!!!

There's the Dream Lifter airplane. What a giant!!! It carries other airplanes inside. How cool? :)

Oooooh! The Thunderbirds! :) The pilots were about to get on board.

Weeee! Lol. How amazing their stunts are. And scary! Haha.

Til Kingdom Come

Did anyone else notice that on last night's episode of One Tree Hill, Clay mentioned "Til Kingdom come..."?? I was like WOW that sounds like a familiar Bible verse. One Tree Hill has been a good show for me to watch with everything in my life that's been going on, it seems like everyone on the show is just so warm hearted and welcoming. It's like if you walked onto the set and it was real, you'd just fit right in.

"Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Matthew 6:10.  It also reminded me of Matthew 3:2, which states, "and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."

Hmmm. Well, I must say I did enjoy the episode. And I did have tears built up in my eyes when Clay was trying to convince Quinn she was going to be okay on earch without him there. Oh man.... to find a love that intense and that true... then to have to say goodbye? Oh, I sure do hope they don't get rid of Clay. I have really enjoyed that guy on the show, honestly. As do I enjoy Julian and Brooke, as well. Their relationship is more like the relationships I've known, rocky at first, but solid in the ending (okay well, the ending part maybe I haven't been so lucky to have yet, but my time will come for a happy ending). :)

Okay so... after watching a few shows here and there and feeling the cooler weather upon us, I can't help but to get a little excited about the fashiony jackets, furry hoodies, long scarves and warm boots season! :) And if you get a chance and the ADORABLE grey Bear Paw boots underneath this post, much cheaper than Uggs but still super cute and durable for winter. :)

Life Unexpected?

Ok yes, life is very unexpected... but there is a series on the CW with that title now. ;-) I have to admit I'm a fan of quiet a few shows... especially on the CW. Mainly because they all seem to have some type of good values, even though most of them never mention "praying" or  "God" too often. I never had time to watch Life Unexpected (I normally try to limit how many shows I get hooked on throughout a season!)... but I did manage to watch Life Unexpected's season premiere last week and was actually a little impressed.

Although I haven't memorized names off the show yet, it did seem like a wholesome good show that I definatly wouldn't mind my children being in the room with me while I was watching it. And well, I must not forget to mention since Shirli Appleby is starring in this tv series, I had to see what the fuss was about since I definatly have been a fan of hers since her hit show Roswell back in the day. Hahaha.

And not to mention...I hadn't been a huge fan of One Tree Hill once Lucas left the show (which I'm sure a lot of us gals were disappointed), but it's managed to stay at the top of my list for decent CW shows in the PG rated range.

SOOO yes, I do watch television here and there and like any good person, I can get a little attached to a few shows here and there... but I don't think it's wrong, as long as we always remember to put and keep God first. Like the good verse at the beginning of the New Testiment...

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
Matthew 6:33

So after all this talk about shows and whatnot, you sure don't want to have an unexpected ending... right?? If you don't know what direction your life is going, sit down, analyze it a bit and think to yourself... Am I putting God first, others second then my own needs and wants last?? I don't know about you, but I do know I want to end up in Heaven in the end... not that other fire bound, hot as you-know-what, burnt to a crisp place aka Hell... So please, please remember, believe in God and put him first in every decision you make. God is good. I have found out many times he will not forsake you if you trust in him. “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.” Mark 16:16.

Hope you all have a blessed day... Keep praying... stay strong.
